A minimum of one mountain every month, and eight simple club rules:
- You don’t talk about mountain club.
- You don’t talk about mountain club.
- When someone says stop, or goes limp, even if he’s just faking it, the mountain is over.
- At least two guys to a mountain.
- One mountain at a time.
- You climb without fashion shirts or fashion shoes.
- The mountains go on as long as they have to.
- If this is your first time at mountain club, you have to buy a round in the bar afterwards.
The first mountain was Old Man of Coniston and the weather didn’t really come out for us. We could barely see the needle on the compass
